Building a bold, humanistic brand from the ground up.

When The Appeal, a news organization covering bias and harm in the criminal legal system, upgraded their platform, they opted for a full rebrand. A new identity system evokes protest imagery with expressive illustrations, vivid color, and an iconic logo.
